British Gypsum is the UK's leading supplier and foremost authority on gypsum based plaster boards, associated dry lining materials and accessories, ceiling systems, decorative, building plasters, fire protection products and mineral wool insulation. Their Gyproc range of plasterboard products are widely used for partitioning purposes.
Gyproc Products
Plasterboard is basically an inner layer of gypsum sandwiched between two outer layers of lining paper including various additives in the gypsum layer and varying the weight and strength of the lining paper, will give the finished board different properties such as improved impact, fire, acoustic, moisture or thermal resistance. It offers the following features:
- Generally available in 1200mm wide sheets
- Provides good sound insulation
- Excellent fire protection
- Can be made impact resistant
- Very versatile, can be used to construct complicated structures, including curved surfaces or tall panels
- Standard product should not be used in damp environments
