Welcome! ...to New Interiors, the email newsletter from Newbury Interiors.

Online and interactive: this is the news from the HSE about the new F10 form. This is a requirement under CDM 2007 regulations and this month we highlight the F10 and the implications for any company starting a new construction project.

And once you have completed any build, you will want a well-designed and planned interior with the best quality furniture and fittings. At Newbury Interiors we are always looking for new and inspiring products to fit with today's ever-changing workplace demands. In this issue we downsize recycling in the shape of the new compact 'mini envirobin' from Linpac Environmental. We also report back from the Interior Fit Out exhibition with one of our stand highlights - the 'funky cube'.

Finally, as an illustration of the finished article, we focus on the work Newbury Interiors carried out for ADP Dealer Services International in Hungerford when they expanded their offices. To meet critical timescales and avoid disruption, much was completed out-of-hours and in very short timescales.

New Interiors comes to you without charge or obligation. If you like it, please tell your colleagues so they can receive it too. Details on how to subscribe and unsubscribe are at the end of each issue.

Wishing you every success,

Chris Chamberlain
Managing Director

The new F10 form and your responsibilities

HSE

The new-style HSE F10 form went live on 7 April 2008 so if you are about to undertake a new construction project, you will probably need to complete one of these.

Under the CDM 2007 regulations companies undertaking construction projects lasting longer than 30 days or involving more than 500 people must notify the HSE using the F10 form. Some clients may appoint a CDM Co-ordinator to advise and assist them with their CDM 2007 duties. In many cases, therefore it is the CDM Co-ordinator who signs the F10 form on behalf of the client. However, it is important to remember that regardless of who signs the F10, the client retains their CDM 2007 duties.

It's all for show! Getting 'funky' in London's Docklands!

Getting funcky in London's Docklands

Newbury Interiors put the 'fun and funky' into workplace design at London's Excel Centre in Docklands in April. Proving that your workspace does not simply have to be functional, Newbury Interiors was one of over 80 exhibitors at the Interior Fit-Out exhibition showcasing interior fit-out and refurbishment solutions.

" We wanted to show that whilst your workplace needs to fulfil its specific purpose it doesn't have to be dull and run-of-the-mill," explains Newbury Interiors managing director Chris Chamberlain. "We're now using some unique and fun products in our designs that are really practical as well."

Over 1,000 visitors to the Interior Fit-Out show experienced the 'Funky Cube' one of several inventive products highlighted by Newbury Interiors. "These are really novel and contemporary and we find them particularly useful for offices, break-out areas, schools, lobby areas and waiting rooms," said Chris.

ADP Case Study

ADP Dealer Services International, global supplier of IT systems for the retail automotive industry, recently reorganised its UK head office at Hungerford, Berkshire. They asked Newbury Interiors to reconfigure and fit-out the first floor office area to incorporate an additional 25 staff, recycling and reusing materials wherever possible.
